Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.īut it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.īecause history has once again been flipped to repeat. Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…

Prince Author never thought he’d find himself involved in horribly awkward conversations about the first day of his wife’s last period, but that’s precisely what happens after that plus sign shows up on the pregnancy test. So, if you feel the same way, seeking a greater and longer personal satisfaction in your listening experience, and like military scifi, this first in the series by John Ringo, a military and political scifi writer, is a launchpad that will definitely propel you into a twelve book series here at Audible that will keep your attention. So, I'm becoming the frustrating guy at the dinner party that wants more than one serving of the turkey - There's one at EVERY dinner party. My sometimes verbally graphic and demonstrative rantings at the characters or plot lines are as R rated as the show. Some of the episodes are better than others, sometimes I get frustrated at the pace, sometimes I shout at the screen, in shock, joy, anger or disbelief, giving profound character advice or brilliant script opinions. It's like watching The Walking Dead, my favorite television series. And, of course, the writer needs to be good. Now it seems, I prefer a GREAT audiobook SERIES, when and IF it ever occurs, one that carries the great writing, storyline and character development MUCH further than a single audio telling. The more I listen over the years, my tastes have further refined. I've enjoyed a wonderful variety of scifi and fantasy audiobooks here at Audible over the years, but I need to preface this review with a growing personal preference when it comes to my audiobook selections. Developed for the military, it's a set of body paints that, when applied to the wearer, grant them a wide range of special powers. In the meantime, Ashley has bounced from foster home to foster home and represents a real challenge to the social workers who try to help her-not because she's inherently bad, but because trouble always seems to find her.Īshley's latest set of presumably short-term foster parents are Kitch and Yuka Nolan. He now sits in federal prison, but still casts a shadow over Ashley's life. Her father is a known criminal who once used Ashley to help him elude justice, and in his attempt to escape, a life was taken. Primer introduces a brand-new superhero with a colorful array of superpowers to explore.Īshley Rayburn is an upbeat girl with a decidedly downbeat past. Redeemed in the eyes of her siblings because she’s brave enough to retrieve a bouncy ball from the toilet as well as wildly imaginative, Rascal finally gets her wish. Eventually, the witch is vanquished and order more or less restored. Nuggy (he doesn’t look much like a fairy godmother), use the ensuing timeout to concoct poison soup for the witch. Rascal and her invented fairy godmother, Mr. She maintains her dogginess all the way through a doctor’s checkup until a surprise vaccination spurs her to speech and retaliation. As a “dog,” she’s invisible to the little-girl–stealer but appealing to her older brother, who, it turns out, always wanted to have a dog. In her efforts to avoid capture, Rascal becomes a dog. So they tell her a kidnapping witch, Mrs. She acts like a baby, she asks weird questions, and she chatters endlessly with her imaginary monster friend. Rascal’s siblings complain that she’s always pestering them. With words, pictures and pictures with words, 6-year-old Dory, called Rascal, recounts how she finally gets her older brother and sister to play with her.
